All moving companies must legally assume liability for the value of the goods that they transport. This coverage is limited to either $.30 or $.60 per pound per article being transported if an item is lost or damaged during your move. This coverage, fully explained in the Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move brochure which we will provide when we meet with you to perform the on-site estimate, is designed to cover the mover's basic liability and obviously does not provide you with substantial protection.

If your possessions include antiques or other high-end furnishings/electronics, you may be more comfortable with more extensive liability coverage. If you have a homeowners or renters insurance policy, you can check with your insurance provider to see if your property is covered while in transit.
