Here’s how the moving process works:

Job Quote

Your Serenity Movers relocation consultant will do a complete on-site or phone evaluation to establish the cost of relocating your household. As part of the evaluation the relocation consultant will make a detailed inventory of all the items you intend to move. We’ll also determine whether you’ll need help with packing items such as books, dishes, electronics and art so that we can include the price of this service in your quote.

Serenity Movers offers two pricing plans to best meet our customers’ needs. Our most popular plan is based on an hourly rate and is perfect for small to medium-sized moves such as a studio or one bedroom). We also offer a flat price plan which is best suited for moving from spaces larger than one bedroom apartments. Our pricing is very competitive, the actual cost of either plan as it pertains to your move is determined when your relocation consultant visits your home.

Scheduling

The last week of each month is the busiest time for the moving industry and weekends usually mean extra traffic — so if you plan a move on the last weekend of the month please schedule it with us as soon as possible. Booking as far in advance as you can makes it much easier for us to work within your preferred timetable. Your relocation consultant will provide you with a written confirmation of the scheduled date and time of your move.

Moving Day

Serenity Movers will arrive at the time specified, and the foreman will introduce the crew who will help you with your move. The movers will start by loading your boxes into the truck, furniture and electronics will be prepared for the move — standard furniture such as beds and tables that cannot be moved in one piece will be disassembled and loaded onto the truck. At your new home our movers will unload the truck and place your household goods according to your directions. Then you’ll inspect your possessions to ensure everything is as it should be, and pay the foreman the agreed-upon rate.
